Another submission ! ! !

And here we have a contortion piece. This was for a contest for the Contemporary Art Museum of Houston (AND IT GOT IN, I'M SOOO EXCITE-E-ED~! ! !).

The 'theme' was CONTENTS UNDER PRESSURE, and you could interpret that, 'container' or 'containment' in any way you wanted to in your artwork.
So yeah. A girl being forced to contort inside of a glass display box. :D

But, if you live in good ol Tejas, Houston Area, then go to the Contemporary Art Museum starting February 27 and seek my piece out! ! ! Although there it will be called 'Beauty Destruction' by Jessica Wilson... Yeah. :3

Art belongs to moi! !

Wow, thanks!

Lol, thing is, it's digital. ;D I can't paint worth a crap. XD

Oh, you can paint alright!:D Its really well done. I get the feeling the character is in pain from the strings but is flexible enough to withstand the extreme pose... I really love it!

But, if I may ask ... how did you start learning to draw contortionish stuff?
Callisto-Hime Featured By Owner Mar 29, 2009  Student Digital Artist

...well, it really all started when my friend :iconc-h-i-b-i-n-e-k-o: directed me to the beautiful gallery of :iconyuni:. From then, I was pretty much in awe and I tried my hand at drawing contortion. What's pretty funny is that for me, it's much easier to draw the extreme curves of contortion than 'normal' poses.

Thanks for your interest!! :)

You're most welcome!!!

Cool, I've been a contortion fan for a while. Introduced to the art form by a friend of mine who practised contortion ... but she never got very far before quiting. :( It would have been nice to know someone with such a unique skill.:)
